fire fighting jockey pump principle and operating procedures

Author: admin Source: The internet Posted On: 2018/7/17 9:58:14

As the name suggests, fire fighting jockey pump is a type of fire pump. The pressure in the automatic sprinkler system and the fire hydrant water supply system is stable, so that the system water pressure is always in the required pressure state. If the nozzle or the fire hydrant is out of water, the water volume and water pressure required for the fire fighting water can be discharged.
How does fire fighting jockey pump work?
The total volume of fire water of the fire-stabilized pump is divided into three parts, namely the fire storage volume (adjustment volume), the buffer water volume and the regulated water volume.
The normal pressure of the system is provided by the constant pressure pump. When the pressure rises to reach the high water level of the regulated water volume, the steady pressure pump automatically stops running; when the pressure is reduced and reaches the low water level of the regulated water volume, the constant pressure pump automatically Turn on to raise the volume of the regulated water to the highest water level. This cycle is to maintain the high pressure state of the system.
When a fire occurs, the system pressure begins to decrease as the fire hydrant is put into use. When it reaches the lowest water level of the fire storage volume, the steady pressure pump is stopped and the fire pump is automatically turned on.
fire fighting jockey pump operating procedures
1. In the automatic control of fire pressure constant pressure, the water pump is automatically controlled to start and stop by the electric contact. Under normal circumstances, the inlet and outlet valves of the water pump should be kept fully open to prevent the water pump from being dehydrated or blocked.
2. When the fire-fighting constant pressure automatic control system is overhauled or not activated, the fire pump and fire-stabilized pump control system shall be placed in manual control to prevent the pump from starting automatically.
3. When the fire-stabilized pump is manually controlled, press the start and stop buttons corresponding to the selected fire-fighting pump to control the start and stop of the pump.
4. When the fire-stabilized pump is placed in automatic control, the system will activate the selected pump first. If the selected pump is faulty, the system will automatically start the standby pump and alarm, and check the corresponding fault.
5. When the fire control pump is automatically controlled, the upper and lower pressure limits of the pressure switch must be correctly set. When the pipe network pressure is lower than the lower limit of the pressure switch, the voltage regulation control system automatically starts the fire pressure regulator pump; when the pressure is higher than the upper limit of the pressure switch, the voltage regulation control system automatically stops the fire pressure regulator pump and maintains the pressure of the fire pipe network. When it is necessary to stop manually, the system must be switched to manual, and the corresponding stop button is pressed to stop the pump.
6. In an emergency, you can directly start the fire pump by pressing the ‘Fire Emergency Start’ button.
