The working principle of the self-priming pump is: fill the pump casing with water before starting the pump (or water in the pump casing itself). After the start, the impeller rotates at a high speed to make the water in the impeller channel flow toward the volute. At this time, the inlet forms a vacuum, so that the inlet water stops the door, and the air in the suction pipe enters the pump and reaches the outer edge through the impeller channel. The self-priming pump is a self-priming centrifugal pump, which has the advantages of compact structure, convenient operation, stable operation, easy maintenance, high efficiency, long service life and strong self-priming capability. The pipeline does not need to be installed with a bottom valve. It is only necessary to ensure that the pump body has a quantitative liquid before storage. The gas is completely discharged, self-priming is completed, and water is pumped normally.
2. Water ring wheel type; combine the water ring wheel and the water pump impeller in one casing, and discharge the gas by means of the water ring wheel to realize self-priming. When the pump is working normally, the passage of the water ring wheel and the pump impeller can be intercepted by the valve, and the liquid in the water ring wheel can be drained.
3. Jet type (including liquid jet and gas jet); combined by a centrifugal pump and a jet pump (or ejector), relying on the injection device to create a vacuum at the nozzle to achieve suction.
